To all of the blended families out there in the trenches, I see you, I’m with you, and praying peace for you. Every. Single. Day. We don’t all walk this life out in the same way, and most of us wonder if we’re doing it “Right”. I’m here to tell you that you are not alone in feeling that way and to not measure your level of “success” against someone else’s story. We all have our own story that will lead us to a peaceful place. Keep on keepin’ on.
Take stock of the victories you’ve already won and know that you have them because you’ve endured.
“So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.”
Hebrews 6:12
Don’t compromise your story and what you know is right for your family because you’re trying to reach someone else’s destination. You will have no testimony because you will have failed the test! There’s a prize for the pain! It’s the ability to help others up from their lowest points because you’ve been there yourself.
God can only use us in a great way if He can TRUST us in a great way. What has He trusted you with? How are you stewarding it? Don’t give up on the fight friends! Remember what and WHO you’re fighting for. If you won’t fight for it, who will?
